I have collected some of this lovely felled oak.
It is five feet in diameter so it had to be cut very carefully. I quartered it on the trunk for safety and it really is beautiful wood. After it has been seasoned for a good period of time I am planning some rather large bowls!

One fascinating aspect of being a craft woodturner is receiving commissions from individuals and businesses. One such recent commission was from local milliner Twisted Thimble Couture who needed some blocks / formers for their unique creations.
I am delighted to say that these have just been completed and I am proud to assist a fellow, local craftsperson.
Join me to explore my sustainable approach to woodturning crafts at the following events this year, where you can also see my work as a woodturning artist:
Bath & West Show, 28th - 30th May
Whitney Sawmills, 12th June
Gillingham & Shaftsbury, 19th - 20th August
Camrose Show, 29th August

I am delighted that Annwn Restaurant in Narberth commissioned me, to provide serving bowls and plates for their local seasonal and foraged menu.
This initiative is part of a Welsh food movement that pays homage to the Pembrokeshire surroundings and landscape, aligning perfectly with my commitment to sustainable crafts. The restaurant was recognized in the prestigious Michelin Guide just a few months after opening in 2023.
In addition to their exceptional menu, they offer guided foraging experiences, inviting you to discover the amazing wild ingredients abundant in our local area, including woodlands, meadows, and occasionally the famous Pembrokeshire coastline.
